Dedicated to Rural Upliftment & Intellectual Enlightenment
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shikshan Sanstha was established with the noble vision of integral humanism and uplifting the rural, agricultural, and socio-economically marginalized communities in Marathwada. Under the visionary stewardship of Hon. Haribhau Bagde (Nana), the society established Shri Sant Savta Mali Gramin Mahavidyalaya in Phulambri in 1997.
The college is named after the celebrated 13th-century saint and poet-philosopher Sant Savta Mali, whose life exemplified the divine holiness of honest manual labor, devotion, and farming: "कांदा मुळा भाजी । अवघी विठाबाई माझी ।।". His immortal message teaches that hard work with integrity is itself the highest form of spiritual worship.
Affiliated permanently with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Dr. BAMU), Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, the college is recognized under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. In 2022, the college achieved 'A' Grade in Academic Audit by Dr. BAMU and is accredited with 'B' Grade by NAAC.
